Frequently asked questions

What licence do I need to drive in Malaysia?

A valid home-country licence in English is accepted. If your licence is not in English or Malay, carry an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside it. ASEAN licences are recognised. Most performance cars require two years on a full licence.

What licence do I need to drive in Thailand?

Thailand requires an International Driving Permit alongside your home licence for most foreign visitors. Licences from ASEAN member states are accepted on their own. Police checkpoints do ask, so keep both documents in the car.

How do deposits work?

Security deposits vary by vehicle — typically RM10,000–30,000 in Malaysia and THB 100,000–300,000 in Thailand for supercars, lower for performance and executive cars. The exact figure is confirmed in writing before you commit and refunded after the return inspection, normally within three to seven working days.

What insurance is included?

Comprehensive cover is standard on every booking, with the excess stated in your written confirmation. Excess-reduction options are available on most vehicles on request.

Is there a minimum age?

Most supercars require drivers to be 25 or older with two years on a full licence. Some flagship models are set at 30 by the operating partner. NAGA BLACK chauffeured bookings have no age requirement.

Can you deliver the car to my hotel?

Yes. Delivery and collection at hotels and residences in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok is standard, with fees based on distance. Self-collection from the partner garage is also available.

Can I take the car across a border?

No. Rental vehicles stay within their country of registration — Malaysia–Singapore and Thailand–Malaysia crossings are not permitted under partner insurance terms. If your trip spans two countries, we arrange a car in each.

How do I pay?

Bank transfer to local Malaysian or Thai accounts, and major credit cards; card payments may carry a processing fee set by the operating partner. Rental and deposit terms are itemised in your confirmation before any payment is taken.

How far in advance should I book?

24 hours is comfortable for a single car in Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok, and same-day requests are often possible — ask on WhatsApp. Roadshows and weddings are best confirmed a week or more ahead.

Do the chauffeurs speak English?

Yes. Every NAGA BLACK driver is briefed in English and knows the city's hotels, towers and event venues. Mandarin-speaking drivers are available in Kuala Lumpur on request.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track the flight. The chauffeur adjusts to your actual arrival time, and waiting time within the standard window is included. There is no penalty for delays outside your control.

What does the 10-hour day include?

Car, chauffeur, fuel and city mileage. Tolls and parking are billed at cost. Hours beyond ten are charged at the hourly rate stated in your confirmation.

Can you run multi-city itineraries?

Yes. Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok are handled by our own teams; Bali, Jakarta and Phuket through vetted partners. One WhatsApp thread and one invoice covers the whole trip.
