Self-drive still has its place — you just pick the hours. On weekend mornings before 09:00 the city is unrecognisable: clear tolls, an empty Sudirman, and the run out to Pantai Indah Kapuk, where Jakarta's car scene actually gathers. PIK's wide coastal roads host regular supercar meets, and the coffee is taken seriously. Further out, the Cipularang toll reaches Bandung in around two and a half hours, and Sentul International Circuit sits an hour south — standard insurance excludes circuit use, but trackday arrangements exist for some cars.

One rule shapes everything: ganjil-genap, the odd-even plate restriction on major corridors during weekday peaks, roughly 06:00–10:00 and 16:00–21:00. Your plate's final digit must match the date's parity on those roads. We flag whether your car is odd or even at confirmation, and your chauffeur plans around it automatically.

Practicalities: an International Driving Permit is required alongside your home licence, and traffic police do check. Cars carry an e-money card for the tolls. Delivery covers SCBD, Menteng, Kemang and PIK as standard, with the wider Jabodetabek area by arrangement.
